Preparations
I am making preparations for this show: 4th Annual Lottery for the Arts. The Picture is Merchant. I know it’s just a single picture. I also know that framing it properly and shipping will cost a few hundred dollars. Be that as it may, I’m doing it. The reasons are pretty good. It’s an established gallery. Tickets to this show/auction alone are $150 a pop. That means serious clientele. How do I know it’s not going to be a flop? This is the fourth year they are doing it; that’s precedent it’s worked. Well enough for them to do it again. Yeah, I think it’s a good idea I make the show and be proud.
Don’t ask me how but I am obsessing about “More Different” now. I have to finish two more color pictures for it and a small handful of black and whites. That’s not a lot. Poems, I’ve begun poems. I’m not gonna jinx any of it, but this will be my project for the time being. You’ll hear more about it the more I work on it. I like to say it’s closed to finished and it is, but I also like to rebel against myself and procrastinate. I know it’ll be done when it’s done. I’m just gunning to make this a productive time.
That’s it for today. I’m off to get some pictures framed and have things ready.
